Ultracab is a carbon fiber chaise longue inspired by racing car world.

The idea was to bring the automotive suggestion and the perfection and tactile pleasure of a freshly polished bodywork with metallized colors on a polyester base bringing curved shapes in the domestic panorama. The dream and the race cars imagery loaded with its symbolic meanings inside the domestic landscape. An armchair like a car at home.

The first prototype in fire-painted iron sheet were exhibited at the Salone Satellite as part of the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2000 and 2001. In 2002 was crafted the first prototype in ultralight carbon fiber.
